The new-offices list prints once the Gazette has a month of history

two days of snapshots so far; an office is new when it first appears after the mirror's first month.

The Gazette reads its own listing mirror, day by day. Until it has watched the market for 30 days it cannot tell an office that just started listing from one that was always here, so this page waits rather than guess. Named agents print once the MLS approves it in writing (A-250).

In Knoxville the Gazette counts 2,057 active listings; the median asking price there is $410,000, and 54 days listed. Seven cuts to the asking price and no increases were recorded in Knoxville this edition. The Knoxville page lists every home there.

For the market as a whole, 12,621 listings are active, and the median asking price is $349,900. Per square foot, the median asks $236. The median home has been listed 79 days. The by-the-numbers page sets out every city, with the charts.

This is edition No. 3, counting from Oct 25 to Oct 26: eleven new listings came on, 14 price cuts were recorded, no price increases were recorded, and 32 listings left the active market.

In the news that names Knoxville: Source: Maintenance to temporarily shut down Knoxville CW broadcast, WVLT (Knoxville), Oct 26. Each headline links to the publisher's own page; the Gazette adds no commentary.

Source: FlexMLS (East Tennessee REALTORS®) via the IDX feed, as of Oct 26, 2026; an office is new when our own listing mirror first sees it, not when it was licensed.
