WVLT (Knoxville), October 28, 2026.
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - As the Ice Bears continue to defend Knoxville’s hockey pride, WVLT is sitting down with eight Ice Bears you should get to know! Today, WVLT’s John Sartori is sitting down with Cameron Tobey.
Get to know your Knoxville Ice Bears: Cameron Tobey John Sartori: To be back for the 25th season, what about what this team has done in your first two years going into your third year made you want to continue to be a part of it? Cameron Tobey: Yeah. I mean, it’s my third year now.
We’ve made a bunch of leaps throughout my last three years. Learned a lot. Have had a lot of success through playoffs.
I think that this being my third year, I think it would be another great opportunity to go on another run and hopefully win a championship. John Sartori: There’s a lot of new guys on this year’s team. What are you telling them about Knoxville outside of hockey?
Cameron Tobey: I think it’s important that we’re not robots, you know, we’re human beings. It’s important to get out in the city, be with your teammates, whether it’s just going to get a bite to eat, go on and play tennis or pickleball, playing golf.
