WVLT (Knoxville), October 31, 2026.
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - As the Ice Bears continue to defend Knoxville’s hockey pride, WVLT is sitting down with eight Ice Bears you should get to know! Today, WVLT’s John Sartori is sitting down with Timmy Kent.
Get to know your Knoxville Ice Bears: Timmy Kent John Sartori: Second year in Knoxville for you. Timmy Kent: Yeah. John Sartori: What was your one like and why is this place that you came back for year two?
Timmy Kent: Uh, a lot of reasons. I think the coaching staff, the culture also that was in the team last year and with leadership and just everybody kind of buying in. I wanted to be a part of that again.
The city and the way the fans support us, you can’t really beat it. I’ve been in multiple places in minor pro and you can’t really beat that. John Sartori: So there’s gotta be a little bit of unfinished business on your mind though.
Timmy Kent: Yeah. John Sartori: The way that the post season ended and now a chance, you guys have a unique mix of newcomers and guys who understand the culture. Timmy Kent: Yeah.
John Sartori: That’s gotta be a big motivator for you guys this year. Timmy Kent: Yeah. I think we have a good blend.
