Knoxville City Council OKs $750k for affordable housing, $5M for capital upgrades

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — The Knoxville City Council on Tuesday approved several local investments including support for affordable housing, sidewalk repairs, and $5 million in capital improvement projects. A resolution to amend the total budget for the current fiscal year will allocate $3.4 million to install energy-efficient indoor and outdoor lighting at 75 City-owned facilities.
