UT To Host Events Celebrating Veterans
UT News (Knoxville), November 3, 2026.
A veteran holds an American flag in the 2025 UT Homecoming parade. The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, will commemorate Veterans Day with a series of events to celebrate those who have served or are currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. “Veterans Day is a chance for all of us to say thank you in person, and this month our campus gets to do that in a lot of different ways,” said Amber Williams, senior vice provost for student success and chief honors officer.
“Our veterans and military-connected students bring so much to the Vol community. We want them to feel seen and appreciated, and not just on November 11.” Throughout November, UT’s Army ROTC, Air Force ROTC, Army ROTC Alumni Council, Athletics, Division of Student Success and Veterans Success Center will organize and join activities to show appreciation to veterans in the greater Vol community.
