Mr. Hastings built this home in 1888 along with several others on Indiana Ave. In 1889 Rosa Hastings was born in the house and you can still see her name etched in the living room window pane. The original pine wood flooring is still gleaming throughout the main level. 10 ft ceilings, extensive trim work & original built-ins are also throughout the home. Main level features a parlor (living room) plus a formal dining room. On the back of the house a porch has been enclosed for a sitting area off the kitchen. All of the bedrooms are spacious and the baths are vintage with claw foot tubs. The gardens around the house on the corner of Indiana and Clark are easily maintained but feature a wide variety of plantings, blooming flowers, and shrubs.
