Thirty-nine price cuts now ask $400–600k, the busiest band
Five asking-price bands hold a cut · 39 cuts in the busiest · median 44 days listed.
Among the 147 price cuts in East Tennessee since the last edition, thirty-nine now ask in the $400–600k band, more than in any other. That is 27% of the cuts.
The bands run in steps from under $250,000 to $900,000 and up, and a home goes in the band its asking price falls in after the cut. The busiest three: $400–600k has thirty-nine, Under $250k has thirty-seven, $250–400k has thirty-four.
A cut is counted when a listing's asking price is lower than it was at our last check. A listing cut twice since then shows as one cut. Every price here is an asking price on an active listing, and a median needs three homes or it is left out.
Together the $400–600k cuts took $475,544 off asking prices, and the median cut is $10,000, or 1.8% of the old asking price. After the cut, asking prices run from $400,000 to $599,000, and the median asking price is $489,900. That median cut is 0.9 points shallower than the 2.7% median across every price cut in the edition. The median home had been listed 44 days when its cut was seen, counted to this edition from the listing's own date.
The biggest cut among them is at 105 Hwy 190, Pineville, KY 40977 in Pineville: down $50,000, from $525,000 to $475,000, or 9.5%.
The table shows every band that holds a cut, and each row opens the homes in it. The twenty-four deepest cuts of the 39 are shown below, and the search on the main page looks through every active home. Each address opens that home's own page.
