For real estate agents: sharing THDA help with buyers

Buyers ask agents about THDA first. These pages are plain-language education you can send, put on a screen or print, open to every buyer.

In plain words: a general explanation, not a rule sheet. THDA's own pages decide.

What to send

The 2-minute first-time buyer quiz is the best first link: three taps on the 3-year rule, no account, no email until the result. The "Which loan fits" quiz and the down payment options page answer the next two questions buyers ask.

At an open house

The slide decks run on a screen by themselves, and a QR code from the AskResi QR Hub takes a visitor to a short quiz about the home. Every slide carries the educational-only line.

What these pages are not

They are not a lender, a pre-qualification or a promise. Only a THDA-approved lender can tell a buyer where they stand. AskResi does not rank lenders and does not take a fee from one for these pages.

Fair housing

We offer this help by topic, language and place, and it is open to everyone. Nothing here describes who a neighbourhood is for, and agents should not either.

THDA has materials for agents too

THDA's own site has more for real estate professionals. Use its materials alongside these pages.

What this page holds back

Any figure marked "As of" was checked at thda.org on that day. The price limit, the county income limits and other amounts are not printed here until a person has checked them. They change, and they depend on your county and household.

Limits vary by county and change. Ask a THDA-approved lender. THDA's own limits page.
