Cades Cove Loop Road, Laurel Creek Road to close for footrace: What to know

TOWNSEND, Tenn. (WATE) — Two popular scenic roads in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park are scheduled to close over the weekend during a race. Cades Cove Loop Road and Laurel Creek Road will be closed on Sunday, November 8, until around 11 a.m. due to the Friends of the Smokies annual Loop Lope footrace.
