Fifty-three price cuts now ask $250–400k, the busiest band
Five asking-price bands hold a cut · 53 cuts in the busiest · median 50 days listed.
Among the 150 price cuts in East Tennessee since the last edition, fifty-three now ask in the $250–400k band, more than in any other. That is 35% of the cuts.
The bands run in steps from under $250,000 to $900,000 and up, and a home goes in the band its asking price falls in after the cut. The busiest three: $250–400k has fifty-three, $400–600k has thirty-three, Under $250k has twenty-seven.
A cut is counted when our copy of the MLS feed saw a listing's asking price lower than it was in the earlier read. The old price is the one our copy saw, so a listing cut before our copy began, or cut twice between two reads, shows as one cut. Every price here is an asking price on an active listing, and a median needs three homes or it is left out.
Together the $250–400k cuts took $558,104 off asking prices, and the median cut is $10,000, or 2.5% of the old asking price. After the cut, asking prices run from $255,000 to $399,995, and the median asking price is $319,000. That median cut is 0.1 points shallower than the 2.6% median across every price cut in the edition. The median home had been listed 50 days when its cut was seen, counted to this edition from the listing's own date.
The biggest cut among them is at 4601 Holston Hills Rd, Knoxville, TN 37914 in Knoxville: down $35,005, from $435,000 to $399,995, or 8%.
The table shows every band that holds a cut, and each row opens the homes in it. The twenty-four deepest cuts of the 53 are shown below, and the search on the main page looks through every active home. Each address opens that home's own page.
