Garage spaces at the East Tennessee estates
The most common count is one or two garage spaces, 221 of the 529 estates that state one, and 305 state three or more.
The estate band in East Tennessee holds 787 active listings. They ask from $1,000,000 to $4,999,000, with a median of $1,495,000. Estates are 6.3% of the 12,408 active listings in the edition. An estate here is a home asking $1,000,000 or more and under $5,000,000. It is a price band and nothing else.
The most common garage count is one or two garage spaces: 221 of the 529 estates that state one, 42% of them.
Three hundred five estates state three or more garage spaces, 58% of those that state a count.
Four garage counts appear. The others: no garage space has 3, three garage spaces has 180 and four or more garage spaces has 125.
The median asking price is $1,300,000 with no garage space and $1,600,000 with four or more garage spaces.
The median floor area is 1,680 square feet with no garage space and 4,507 with three garage spaces.
Garage spaces is the count the listing states. It does not separate an attached garage from a detached one.
Floor area is led by the 3,000–3,999 sq ft band: 237 of the 787 estates that state a size, 30% of them. The median asking price there is $1,299,929.
Knoxville holds the most estates, 180 of the 787, asking a median of $1,584,325. Sevierville follows with 157.
The ground tells the estates apart: 382 of the 782 that state a lot sit on under one acre, 49% of them. The median asking price on those lots is $1,399,950.
No new estate came on the market since the last edition, and the count of active estates moved from 789 to 787.
Of the 12,408 active listings in the edition, 787 are estates, 6.3% of the market.
Every price on this page is an asking price on an active listing, taken from the MLS listings as of our latest check. An estate here is a home asking $1,000,000 or more and under $5,000,000. It is a price band and nothing else. Lot size, year built, levels and garage spaces are what each listing states. Five estates state no lot size and are left out of every acreage figure. A median needs three estates or it is left out.
Each row of the lot-size and city tables below opens the estates behind it, so a count can be checked against the listings it counts. The city table lists the twelve cities with the most estates.
This page leaves a lot out on purpose. It does not read remarks, finishes or amenities, and it says nothing about who an estate is for. What it can do is count the listings, size them by stated lot and floor area and show where each one is.
The cards under the chart show the newest estates first. The search above them looks through every active listing, so an estate that is not among the cards can still be found by city, price or size.
Knoxville holds the most estates, 180 of the 787, asking a median of $1,584,325. Sevierville follows with 157.
In all, 93 cities, as the listings spell them, have at least one estate. The next four: Lenoir City has 46, Gatlinburg has 41, Pigeon Forge has 30 and Loudon has 28.
The median lot is 54.6 acres in Madisonville and 0.1 acres in Pigeon Forge.
Lot size separates the estates most: 382 of the 782 that state one sit on under one acre, 49% of them, asking a median of $1,399,950.
