Thirteen price cuts now ask $250–400k, the busiest band
Five asking-price bands hold a cut · 13 cuts in the busiest · median 53 days listed.
Among the 22 price cuts in East Tennessee since the last edition, thirteen now ask in the $250–400k band, more than in any other. That is 59% of the cuts.
The bands run in steps from under $250,000 to $900,000 and up, and a home goes in the band its asking price falls in after the cut. The busiest three: $250–400k has thirteen, Under $250k has three, $400–600k has three.
A cut is counted when a listing's asking price is lower than it was at our last check. A listing cut twice since then shows as one cut. Every price here is an asking price on an active listing, and a median needs three homes or it is left out.
Together the $250–400k cuts took $114,150 off asking prices, and the median cut is $9,900, or 2.7% of the old asking price. After the cut, asking prices run from $280,000 to $399,000, and the median asking price is $355,000. That matches the 2.7% median cut across every price cut in the edition. The median home had been listed 53 days when its cut was seen, counted to this edition from the listing's own date.
The biggest cut among them is at 935 Oakland Rd, Sweetwater, TN 37874 in Sweetwater: down $26,000, from $425,000 to $399,000, or 6.1%.
